TUHRU

Tuhru is Ami Lindholm, Elina Minn and Anna Virtanen. They teamed up while studying animation in Turku Arts Academy. Since 2004 Tuhru has been working together with illustration and art projects, character design, animated films and animation for music videos, documentaries and tv commercials. Tuhru's technique is mainly pencil and collage. Tuhru has co-directed the film Bird House (2007), a puppet animation about a young couple house-hunting. In Bird House Tuhru experimented with combining their two dimensional drawing style into the three dimensional puppet animation environment. The film was chosen as the only Finnish animation to Annecy International Animation Festival in 2007. At the moment Tuhru is working on a graphic novel together with a Swedish animation collective. The book is to be released in 2008.
